ISO 22000 sets out the requirements for a food safety management system for any organisation operating within the food chain, such as restaurants & caterers, producers & retailers and including suppliers of ingredients, packaging & other services.  It is consistent with ISO 9001 facilitating an integrated management system and incorporates the internationally-recognised HACCP (Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points) principles.

 

Implementing ISO 22000 enables an organisation to demonstrate to customers, regulators and other interested parties that it is taking the necessary steps to control food safety hazards in line with international best-practice.
